Flowing Screed

Heat & Screed are approved installers of both Anhydrite and Cement based flowing screeds. Flowing screeds are excellent for large areas due to the speed of installation, in excess of 1,000m² is achievable in a day for our skilled teams.

Flowing Screeds are excellent for use with Underfloor Heating as they are fully compacted, and laid at thinner sections which reduces the response time of the UFH. Operating our own fleet of Flowing Screed pumps Heat & Screed are the ideal choice to install your flowing screed.

Our Flowing Screed products offered include;

Anhydrite Flowing Screeds

Gyvlon Eco / Gypsol Classic –Standard Anhydrite Screed which is ideal for all projects. UFH can be switched on 7 days after laying to force dry the screed. Without the use of Force Drying these standard anhydrite screeds dry at approximately 1mm per day upto 40mm, then 0.5mm per day thereafter, as an example a 55mm anhydrite screed will need 70 days to dry naturally in ideal conditions

Gyvlon FD / Gyspol Rapide – These are the new faster drying anhydrite screed offerings, which have a drying time as little as 14 days, or 2mm per day in ideal conditions.

Gyvlon Thermio / Gypsol HTC – these anhydrite screed products are designed for use with UFH. They can be laid thinner and have a higher thermal conductivity. The higher efficiency of these products means you can save money on your heating bills, they are also ideal when using a low temperature Heat Pump.

Gyvlon Excelio / Gypsol TS15 – These products are designed to replace bagged screeds. They can be laid as low as 12mm when bonded to a prepared floor, making them an ideal solution for the fast renovation of an uneven slab. Heat & Screed offer the full preparation of slabs for these products.

We also offer Anhydrite screed products designed for going onto steel decking such as Lewis Deck, as well as products for going over an acoustic timber floor.

We recommend the removal of surface laitance from Anhydrite Screeds as soon as possible to assist with the drying process, using our own sanding and dust extraction equipment this is a service we can offer as an option on your project. We can also offer low laitance variants of screeds.

Cement Flowing Screeds

Longfloor / Cemfloor – These products are ideal as they can accept floor finishes after just 7 days, depending on the finish being used and site conditions. Strengths available range from C20 – C30, meaning these products can be used in domestic and commercial environments. The advantage to Cement Based products is there is no laitance with them, meaning no sanding required. We offer the excellent Longfloor Integracure, which is a new product to the market that requires no curing agent.

Cement based flowing screeds are perfect for use with underfloor heating, and our experts will install movement joints and crack inducers as required to suit the project.

Heat & Screed offer all preparation works associated with Flowing Screeds, which will be carried out to the highest standards, using the correct polythene etc for the job. As a professional company Heat & Screed will only install all flowing screeds in a fully weathertight building.
